This article will help you set up your SonaVue HWA smart glasses for the first time, including unboxing, charging, pairing, and basic connection steps.

What’s in the Box

Each SonaVue HWA package includes:

• 1 × Pair of SonaVue HWA smart glasses

• 1 × USB-C magnetic Y-shaped charging cable

• 1 × Fold-flat protective case

• 1 × Cleaning cloth

• 1 × User guide and warranty card

If any items are missing or damaged, contact Harmonix Support before first use.

Charging the Glasses

1. Connect the Y-shaped USB-C cable to a USB power adapter (5 V 1 A).

2. Align the magnetic connectors on both ends of the cable to the charging points on the glasses’ frame. The cable should lay backward naturally when connected.

3. The LED indicators will turn red while charging.

4. When fully charged, the lights will turn off.

5. Charging takes around 1.5 hours, providing up to 11 hours of streaming or 9 hours of calls.

Low battery:
When the battery is low, the glasses will announce “Battery Low.” After three warnings, they will power off automatically.

Powering On and Off

• To power on: Press both buttons underneath each temple for 3 seconds at the same time.

• To power off: Press both buttons again for 3 seconds.

• The glasses will automatically power on after disconnecting from the charging cable.

• They will automatically power off if Bluetooth is disconnected for more than 3 minutes or while charging.

First-Time Bluetooth Pairing

1. Turn on your SonaVue glasses.

2. On your phone or computer, open Settings → Bluetooth and make sure Bluetooth is enabled.

3. In the list of available devices, select SonaVueHWA.

4. When connected, you will hear “Connected.”

Tip:
If you’re pairing with another device, disconnect (not forget) the glasses from the current one, or turn off Bluetooth on the currently paired device.

Setting Up the AI Cool App (Optional)

Your SonaVue glasses include a VIP subscription to the AI Cool / AIP Translation App, available for iOS (version 13 or later) and Android (version 14 or later).

Care and Maintenance

• Store in a cool, dry place (operating temperature 0–45°C).

• Avoid exposure to water, heat sources, or chemical cleaners.

• Clean with a soft, dry cloth only.

• If stored for long periods, recharge before next use.

• Do not use or charge if the glasses produce heat, smoke, or unusual odors.

Safety Information

• Do not use the product while driving or cycling where prohibited by law.

• Keep away from children and pets — small parts may cause choking.

• Use only Harmonix-approved adapters for charging.

• Avoid wearing the glasses on irritated or injured skin.

• This product complies with FCC and EU Directive 2014/53/EU standards.
