Troubleshooting Bluetooth & Pairing IssuesUpdated a month ago
If your SonaVue glasses are not connecting or showing up in Bluetooth settings, follow these steps to restore a stable connection.
Check Bluetooth Requirements
The SonaVue HWA Series uses Bluetooth 5.4 with a transmission distance of up to 12 meters.
For best results:
Keep the glasses and your device within 1–2 meters during pairing.
Make sure your device’s Bluetooth is turned on and visible.
Disconnect any other paired audio devices that may interfere with connection.
Confirm the Glasses Are On and Ready to Pair
Power on the glasses by pressing both buttons under each temple for 3 seconds at the same time.
The glasses automatically power on after charging if recently disconnected from the charging cable.
When powered on, the LED indicators will light briefly.
If the glasses don’t respond:
Charge fully using the included Y-shaped USB-C cable until LEDs turn off (fully charged).
Try again after at least 15 minutes of charging.
First-Time Pairing Steps
Turn on your glasses and open your device’s Bluetooth settings.
Make sure Bluetooth is enabled.
From the list of available devices, select SonaVueHWA.
When pairing succeeds, the glasses will announce “Connected.”
Test playback or calls to confirm audio output.
If you’re pairing to a new phone or computer, first disconnect (not “Forget”) the device currently connected to avoid conflicts.
The glasses automatically power off if Bluetooth is lost for more than 3 minutes, so keep them active during setup.
If “SonaVueHWA” Doesn’t Appear
Move closer to your phone or computer.
Turn Bluetooth off → wait 5 seconds → turn it back on.
Restart both your glasses and the connected device.
Ensure the glasses are not currently connected to another device.
For computers, check that Bluetooth is supported and enabled for audio devices.
If the device still does not appear, try pairing with a different phone or laptop to verify that Bluetooth on the glasses is working properly.
Reconnecting After Initial Setup
Once paired successfully, the glasses should reconnect automatically to the last device used when powered on and within range.
If they do not reconnect automatically:
Open your device’s Bluetooth settings.
Select SonaVueHWA and tap Connect.
If it fails, select Forget this device, then re-pair as described above.
Connection Drops or Intermittent Audio
If your Bluetooth connection drops or the audio cuts out:
Stay within 12 meters of your device and avoid obstacles like walls or metal objects.
Move away from crowded wireless environments (Wi-Fi routers, microwaves, or multiple Bluetooth devices).
Make sure your glasses’ battery is not critically low — a low battery may cause instability.
Reboot both devices and reconnect.
Resetting the Bluetooth Connection
If all else fails, reset the Bluetooth connection manually:
On your phone, Forget or Remove “SonaVueHWA” from the Bluetooth list.
Power off and then power on your glasses.
Put the glasses in pairing mode again by holding both buttons under each temple for 3 seconds.
Re-pair following the standard steps above.
